Health is complicated. We’ve got answers.
Presbyopia is the inevitable age-related loss of near vision, stemming from a gradual loss in the eye’s ability to accommodate, creating blurry near vision.
With age, our lens becomes hardened. The ciliary muscle becomes less effective at manipulating the lens and insufficient accommodation occurs. As a result, it manifests as an inability to bring near objects into focus and creates a blurry image.
